Abstract
U ovom radu obradit će se nadolazeće stupanje na snagu novog zahtjeva revidiranog Priloga VI MARPOLA o globalnom ograniĉenju udjela sumpora od 2020. te njegov značaj za pomorski sektor i čovječanstvo općenito. Na početku će se objasniti proces planiranja, pripreme i implementacije ovog zahtjeva. Zatim će se analizirati ponuđene strategije usuglašavanja brodara s ovim zahtjevom uključujući mogućnost korištenja sukladnih goriva, mogućnost korištenja uređaja za pročišćavanje ispušnih plinova- skrabera i mogućnost korištenja alternativnih goriva, s naglaskom na LNG. Nakon detaljne analize definirat će se uloga strateškog menadžmenta u odabiru odgovarajuće strategije te će se navesti svi relevantni elementi i njihov utjecaj na donošenje poslovne strategije. Na kraju će se pružiti uvid u moguće posljedice primjene ovog zahtjeva na pojedine segmente pomorskog sektora.
Abstract (english)
This paper will process the coming into force of the new requirement of the revised Annex VI MARPOL also known as Global Sulphur Cap-2020 and its importance for the maritime sector and humanity in general. At the beginning, the process of planning, preparing and implementing this request will be explained. Then, we will analyze the proposed compliance strategies, including the possibility of using compliant fuels, the possibility of using exhaust gas cleaning systems-scrubbers, and the possibility of using alternative fuels, with an emphasis on LNG. After a detailed analysis, the role of strategic management will be defined in selecting the appropriate strategy and will include all the relevant elements and their impact on the implementation of the business strategy. In the end, insight will be given to the possible consequences of applying this requirement on certain segments of the maritime sector.
