Abstract
U završnom radu obrađena je pasivna optička mreža (PON), te je navedena i objašnjena cijela struktura i rad optičke mreže koja se temelji na pasivnim optičkim komponentama. Pasivne optičke mreže i njene komponente su pasivne optičke strukture, gdje se na mjesto spajanja umjesto aktivne opreme postavljaju pasivni optički sprežnici, a koji razdjeljuju ulazni optički informacijski tok na veći broj fizičkih puteva. Također su navedene vrste PON mreža te su navedene i objašnjene tehnike... More multipleksiranja i demultipleksiranja u PON-u. Glavna karakteristika PON mreže je ta da nema aktivnih komponenti u distribucijskoj mreži te pripada u novu generaciju pristupnih mreža koje se temelje na optičkom vlaknu. Less
Abstract (english)
In the paper, the topic of Passive Optical Network (PON) is discussed and the whole structure and operation of the optical network based on passive optical components is listed and explained. Passive optical networks and its components are passive optical structures, where passive optical couplers are installed at the point of connection instead of active equipment, which divide the input optical information stream into a number of physical paths.
