Abstract
Ovim radom sveobuhvatno se pristupilo analizi mogućnosti i potencijala brendiranja Grada Dubrovnika kao sportske destinacije. Prije svega, za razumijevanje ove problematike postavili smo jasne definicije što je to brend, brendiranje i na koji način brendirati. Nadalje, na nekoliko svjetskih primjera, u radu je objašnjena snaga i funkcija brenda. Ovi uspješni primjeri poslužili su nam kao paradigma na kojoj jednostavno može participirati bilo koja druga ideja za brendiranje. Dubljom analizom utvrđeno je kako Dubrovnik ima izniman potencijal ostvariti se kao sportska destinacija, što u konačnici nije samo sebi svrha, nego je put i smjer iz kojeg bi profitirala zajednica i lokalno stanovništvo. Ne samo ekonomski nego i emocionalno, kulturno i zdravstveno. Zaključci doneseni na temelju dubinske analize postojeće dokumentacije i literature kao i provedene ankete potvrđuju postavljenu hipotezu rada. Dubrovnik uistinu ima potencijal i resurse etablirati se na svjetskom turističkim tržištu kao uspješna sportska destinacija.
Abstract (english)
By looking closely at branding's potentials and opportunities, this paper describes Dubrovnik's possibilities to become a recognized sport destination. To understand the concept of thesis, clear definitions of destination branding, brand features, and power of a brand had to be set. Throughout this paper, successful branding examples are presented to serve as a paradigm for any other brand positioning. Deep analysis of the study encourages the prospect of Dubrovnik as a sport destination. Development in the field of sport increases not only economic dimension, but also social inclusion as well as health benefits throughout the community. Findings suggest match-up between set thesis hypothesis and researched documentation. Dubrovnik truly has potential and resources to establish itself on the world tourist market as a successful sport destination.
