Abstract
Zdravstveni sustav svake suvremene države bitan je čimbenik u njenom društvenom, političkom i gospodarskom razvoju. Države sa sofisticiranim i kvalitetnim zdravstvenim sustavima kroz povijest brže su napredovale od onih sa primitivnim i korumpiranim. Za zdravstveni sustav možemo reći da je održiv ukoliko istovremeno poboljšava kvalitetu života njenih korisnika i njima nesmetano omogućuje sudjelovanje u privatnom životu i gospodarstvu svoje sredine. Hrvatski zdravstveni sustav najviše nalikuje Bismarckovom modelu, u kojem se obavezno zdravstveno osiguranje financira putem doprinosa iz plaća. Republika Hrvatska je država sa malobrojnim, opadajućim i starećim stanovništvom. Cilj ovog rada je prikazati snage i slabosti hrvatskog zdravstvenog sustav, te zaključiti je li on održiv.
Abstract (english)
A health care system of every modern country is an important factor in its social, political and economic development. Countries with sophisticated and quality health care systems have throughout history advanced faster than those with primitive and corrupt health care systems. In order to declare a health care system sustainable, it has to simultaneously improve the quality of life of its beneficiaries as well as effortlessly allow them to participate in their private life and their environment’s economy. The Croatian health care system most resembles the Bismarck model, in which the compulsory health insurance is financed through contributions from salaries. The Republic of Croatia has a small, falling and ageing population. The goal of this thesis is to showcase the strengths and weaknesses of the Croatian health care system, as well as asses whether it is sustainable
