Abstract
Najvažnija međunarodna konvencija iz područja sigurnosti plovidbe je SOLAS konvencija, odnosno Međunarodna konvencija o zaštiti ljudskih života na moru. Odnosi se na sve brodove, sa pojedinim specifičnostima za svaku vrstu brodova. Putnički brodovi su brodovi koji prevoze više od dvanaest putnika na međunarodnim putovanjima i moraju biti u skladu sa svim relevantnim propisima Međunarodne pomorske organizacije, uključujući one u Solas konvenciji. Do usvajanja prvog Solas ugovora dovela je katastrofa Titanica 1912. godine i od tada je bilo više revizija propisa kao odgovor na velike incidente, ali i kao rezultat proaktivnog pristupa održavanju propisa ažurnim. Kako je tema ovog rada „Posebni zahtjevi Solas konvencije za putničke brodove“, u radu u nastavku će isti biti obrađeni i predstavljeni.
Abstract (english)
The most important international convention in the field of navigation safety is the SOLAS Convention, that is, the International Convention for the Protection of Human Life at Sea. It applies to all ships, with certain specifics for each type of ship. Passenger ships are ships that carry more than twelve passengers on international voyages and must comply with all relevant regulations of the International Maritime Organization, including those of the Solas Convention. The Titanic disaster in 1912 led to the adoption of the first Solas treaty and since then there have been several revisions to the regulations in response to major incidents, but also as a result of a proactive approach to keeping the regulations up to date. As the topic of this paper is "Special requirements of the Solas Convention for passenger ships", in the following paper they will be processed and presented.
