Abstract (english) This paper presents breastfeeding and all the benefits it brings, as well as the difficulties that can make it difficult to feed naturally. Breast milk is considered to be the only food needed for infants and infants until at least the first year of life. Many mothers encounter difficulties related to breastfeeding alone, which is why some of them give up breastfeeding. The most common problems mothers encounter at the beginning of breastfeeding are: flat sore and damaged nipples, retracted and straight nipples, rhagades (cracked nipples), mastitis, breast aversion, breast overload - hard breasts, congestive breasts, milk duct obstruction / too little milk, fungal infections, Herpes simplex virus infection. Difficulties can also occur on the part of the infant itself, so breastfeeding can be difficult and sometimes completely interrupted.
It is of utmost importance to educate the mothers themselves about the importance of breastfeeding, about all the good things that breastfeeding brings, but the mother should also be made aware of possible difficulties that may occur during breastfeeding. It is very important for the mother to know that every difficulty can be overcome and that is exactly where education can help. It should also be borne in mind that each mother and each child is individually individually involved, so that someone needs more and less time to overcome the problem. The most important role in solving new problems as well as in breastfeeding education itself is played by medical staff. It should be professional, caring and make sure that it gives the mother a feeling of confidence. The time a mother spends at the hospital should be a time of support and learning.
