Abstract U radu se govori o pojmu vodstva, domeni vodstva koja se sastoji od tri elementa - vođe, sljedbenika i situacije, te se govori o odnosu vodstva i moći. Rad je i pregled nekoliko odabranih pristupa vodstvu s naglaskom na njihovu primjenu u suvremenim organizacijama. Rad govori o pristupu temeljenom na osobinama, pristupu temeljenom na vještinama, na stilu, situacijskom pristupu, transformacijskom vodstvu, teoriji puta do cilja te novijim stilovima vodstva (trening, supervodstvo, vodstvo služenjem, poduzetničko vodstvo). Transformacijsko vodstvo, jedan od najnovijih i najsveobuhvatnijih pristupa vodstvu, bavi se procesom kako određeni vođe mogu nadahnuti sljedbenike u postizanju velikih stvari. Taj pristup naglašava da vođe trebaju razumjeti potrebe i motive sljedbenika i prilagoditi im se. Transformacijski vođe su prepoznatljivi kao činitelji promjena. Oni su primjer uzora te oblikuju i stvaraju jasnu viziju za organizaciju. Takva vizija od sljedbenika zahtjeva ispunjavanje visokih normi. U takvim situacijama sljedbenici vjeruju vođama te takvo vjerovanje organizacijskom životu daje značenje. Transformacijsko vodstvo nastalo je na temelju radova Burnsa (1978.) i Bassa (1985.). Transformacijsko vodstvo može se procijeniti primjenom Višefaktorskog upitnika vodstva (MLQ). Tim upitnikom se mjeri ponašanje vođe u sedam područja: idealizirani utjecaj (karizma), inspirativna motivacija, intelektualni poticaj, individualizirani pristup, dogovorene nagrade, korektivno upravljanje i slobodno ponašanje. Visoki rezultati na individualiziranom pristupu i motivacijskim čimbenicima najindikativniji su za snažno trasnsformacijsko vodstvo. Postoji nekoliko pozitivnih obilježja transformacijskog pristupa, uključujući činjenicu da je riječ o suvremenom modelu koji je privukao pozornost istraživača. Ima vrlo jak intuitivni smisao, naglašava važnost sljedbenika u procesu vodstva. Također ide dalje od tradicionalnih transakcijskih modela, proširuje vodstvo uključivanjem rasta sljedbenika te snažno naglašava moral i vrijednosti.
Abstract (english) In dissertation is written about term of leadership, a field of leadership that consists of three elements - the leader, the follower and the situation,as well as the relationship between leadership and power. A few selected approaches to leadership with an accent on their contribution in the modern organizations have also been presented in the paper. The dissertation talks about the approach based on qualities, approach based on skills, on style, situational approach, transformational approach, goal centered theory and about the new styles of leadership (training, superleadership, servant leadership, enterpreneurial leadership). Transformational leadership, one of the newest and most comprehensive approaches to leadership, deals with the process of certain leaders who can inspire followers in accomplishing great things. That approach emphasizes that the leaders should understand the needs and motives of the followers and adjust to them. Tranformational leaders are known as the makers of change. They are role models and they shape and create a clear vision for an organization. Their followers are required to meet the highest standards. In transfomational leadership followers trust the leaders and that kind of trust gives a meaning to the organisational life. Transformational leadership was introduced in the work of Burns (1978) and Bass (1985). Transformational leadership can be evaluated by the Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ). MLQ questionnaire measures the leaders behaviour in seven areas: idealised influence (charisma), inspirational motivation, intelectual incentive, individualised approach, contractual bonuses, corrective management and free behaviour. High results on individualized approach and motivational factors are most indicative for a powerful transformational leadership. There are a few positive characteristics of transformational leadership, including the fact that it is a contemporary model that has attracted the researches attention. It has a very strong intuitive meaning, it highlights the importance of followers in the process of leadership. It goes further from the traditional transaction models, it broadens the leadership with inclusion of the followers growth and it strongly emphasizes the moral and values.
