Abstract
Završni rad sastoji se od dva dijela - teorijskog i praktičnog. Teorijski dio obrađuje i osvjetljava tematiku mehaničkih oštećenja papirne građe. U radu se objašnjava pojam mehaničkih oštećenja na papirnoj građi, navode se primjeri iz literature, njihovi uzroci te brojni načini prevencije njihova nastanka. Govoreći o prevenciji oštećenja u radu se donose načini prevencije - od odabira materijala za pohranu, transport, i rukovanje. Mehanička oštećenja predstavljaju neke od najčešćih vrsta oštećenja i restauratori se s njima često susreću. Praktiĉni dio rada obuhvaća konzervatorsko - restauratorski zahvat. Sam tijek radova je dokumentiran i popraćen detaljnom fotodokumentacijom u svim fazama.
Abstract (english)
The final paper consists of two parts- theoretical and practical. Theoretical part explains the subject of mechanical damage on paper objects. This paper will explain the term of mechanical damages on paper objects, quote examples from literature, their causes and many ways to prevent damage from happening. Speaking of damage prevention, this paper adresses ways to prevent damage – from choosing materials for storage, transport and handling. Mechanical damage is one of the most common type of damage and is often encountered by restorers. The practical part of the work includes conservation and restoration work. The course of the work itself has been documented and backed with detailed photo documentation in all stages.
