Abstract
U radu je prikazan proces konzervacije-restauracije šivaće mašine marke Singer s kraja 19. stoljeća. U teorijskom dijelu ovoga rada obrađena je povijest i razvoj šivaćih mašina, dok su u praktičnom dijelu rada uključena sva djelovanja usmjerena na sprječavanje odnosno usporavanje propadanja predmeta. Navedeni su inventarni podaci, opisano je zatečeno stanje šivaće mašine, kako metalnog dijela predmeta tako i drvenog. Cilj ovog završnog rada je ukazati na načine i različite tehnike konzervacije-restauracije koja označava djelatnost usmjerenu na zaštitu i očuvanja samog predmeta izrađenog dijelom od metala, te dijelom od drva. Predmet je zaprimljen u konzervatorsko-restauratorsku radionicu za metal Sveučilišta u Dubrovniku, te su na njemu pod mentorstvom mag. art. Marte Kotlar izvođeni konzervatorsko-restauratorski radovi. Cijeli konzervatorsko-restauratorski postupak popraćen pisanom i fotodokumentacijom.
Abstract (english)
The paper presents the process of conservation-restoration Singer sewing machine from the end of the 19th century. The theoretical part of this paper deals with the history and development of sewing machines, while the practical part of the paper includes all actions aimed at preventing or slowing down the decay of objects. The paper covers the whole process of a conservation-restoration, such as inventory data, the current condition of the sewing machine, from both the metal and wooden parts of the yarn, as well as other parts of the machine. This final paper aims to address the ways and different techniques of conservation-restoration in the context of protection and preservation of the objects made partly of metal and partly of wood. The course was received in the conservation and restoration workshop for metal, at the University of Dubrovnik, under the mentorship of mag. art Marta Kotlar. The entire conservation and restoration process was followed by photo documentation.
