Abstract (english) | The aim of this paper is to consolidate the presence of digital technologies in learning, how often they are used, their advantages, disadvantages and prospects that in the future digital technologies will be increasingly represented in learning. One hundred and three people from the Dubrovnik-Neretva County were interviewed in an anonymous survey. The respondents were persons younger than twenty years, from 20 to 30 years and older than thirty years. According to the conducted survey, it has been established that as many as 88.3% of respondents use digital technology in the learning process, whether it is formal or non-formal education.
According to a survey, 80,5% of those who said they use digital technology in learning, use digital technology for learning purposes daily. Of the total number of respondents, 79.3% believe that digital technologies have improved the learning process, 16.1% said they do not know, while only four believe that they have not improved the learning process, which is 4.6%. The technologies that respondents use the most are smartphones and laptops, followed by PC and tablet. 79.8% of all respondents use digital technology for either formal or non-formal education. The main advantage of digital technologies in the learning process is digitally available content (41.7%) and distance learning (37.9%). The biggest disadvantage according to the survey is both the availability of an internet connection and the technological dependence. The latest survey by the authors of this paper came as a surprise, as there should be no problems with internet connection in the 21st century. However, we must take into account that the respondents are from the area of Dubrovnik-Neretva County, where there is no signal in some parts at all. Or, if there is one, the teleoperators are from neighboring Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro. The survey will show the great optimism of the respondents about the use of digital technologies in the future. Namely, as many as 83.5% of them believe that digital technologies will be used in the learning and education process in the future. 14.6% of them said they did not know, while one answer was that digital technologies do not have a future in the process of learning in the future. |
