In order for countries to increase their competitiveness and economic growth in view of globalisation, competitiveness, technological advances and social relations, one of the key things on which the country's progress depends is the development of entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship can be defined as a process of value creation by uniting a combination of resources with the aim of seizing opportunities. The European Commission states that entrepreneurship as a skill that can be learned and that Europe needs entrepreneurs to create jobs and thus develop the country, accordingly, developing entrepreneurship education. Entrepreneurship education starts in primary education and, continues in high school and includes school learning, participation in the work of the wider community, linking school learning with "real" situations in life. Entrepreneurship as one of the key competences in the Republic of Croatia appears in the National Curriculum as an inter-subject topic.
