This paper presents data obtained from a research of the population of the Smokovljani parish in Dubrovačko primorje in the period from 1910 to 1920. The observed period is particularly interesting because of the migrations, the First World War, and the spanish flu which affected its population. Registers and The parish family book were used as primary sources, and population data are supplemented by censuses, previous research on Dalmatian parishes and the past of the Dubrovnik area. At the beginning of the work, secondary sources bring geographical features of the observed area, the history of the Smokovljani parish since its founding and the history of its villages from prehistory to the end of the First World War. The main part of the paper presents analyzes of natural and mechanical movements of the population, seasonal distribution of conceptions, births and deaths, causes of death with emphasis on the number of deaths from spanish flu. Also, this section lists the names given to newborn children, the clans living in the parish, the extinctions and arrivals of new clans and weddings and their seasonal distribution.
