Abstract
Plominski zaljev smješten je u središnjem dijelu istočne obale Istre u neposrednoj blizini termoelektrane Plomin. Kako bi se utvrdilo utječe li ispuštanje rashladnih voda termoelektrane Plomin značajno na uvjete u morskom okolišu i na interakciju mikrobne zajednice u čitavom zaljevu, na šest postaja duž zaljeva analizirani su hidrografski parametri, nutrijenti, indikatori fekalnog onečišćenja te brojnost i aktivnost mikrobne zajednice. Uzorkovanje je provedeno tijekom zime i ljeta 2018. godine. Analiza rezultata utvrdila je kako je sezonska dinamika hranjivih soli i mikrobne zajednice u Plominskom zaljevu pod utjecajem TE Plomin i podzemnih voda. Njihov je utjecaj bio najviše izražen na samom kraju zaljeva tijekom zimskog razdoblja. Iako je utjecaj termoelektrane vidljiv iz prikupljenih podataka, vrijednosti zabilježene u Plominskom zaljevu ne odstupaju od uobičajenih vrijednosti za Sjeverni Jadran.
Abstract (english)
Plomin Bay is located on the eastern coast of the Istrian peninsula, in close proximity to the thermal power plant Plomin. To investigate wether marine environment and interrelations between microbial and environmental variables in adjacent waters in the Plomin Bay are significantly influenced by thermal effluents from the coastal power plant, hydrographic parameters, nutrients, microbial indicators of faecal contamination, abundance and seasonal dynamics of bacterial communities were analysed at 6 stations along the bay. Sampling was carried out in winter and summer in 2018. Analysing the results it was determined that the seasonal dynamics of nutrients and the microbial community in the Plomin Bay are influenced by the thermal power plant Plomin and groundwaters. Their influence was most pronounced at the very end of the bay and in winter. Although the impact of the thermal power plant is visible from the collected data, the values recorded in Plomin Bay do not deviate from the usual values in the North Adriatic.
