Abstract
Bolesnici ili njihovi članovi obitelji mogu primijetiti masu (tvorbu) na vratu, ili se ona može otkriti za vrijeme redovitog pregleda. Masa na vratu može, ovisno o uzroku, biti bezbolna ili bolna. Uzroci mase na vratu su mnogobrojni i obuhvaćaju infektivne, zloćudne i prirođene. Među infektivne uzročnike spadaju: HIV, mononukleoza, virusna ili bakterijska infekcija orofarinksa (najčešće faringitis, infekcija gornjeg dišnog sustava, ponekad infekcija zuba), primarni bakterijski limfadenitis te TBC. Zloćudne promjene koje se pokažu kao čvor na vratu su metastaze tumora glave, te metastaze iz udaljenih sijela najčešće iz gornjeg dišnog sustava i gastrointestinalnog sustava. Može se raditi i o primarnim tumorima tkiva vrata. Što se tiče prirođenih uzroka to su: cista škržnog luka, dermoidna ili sebacealna cista i cista duktustireoglosusa.Bitno je dijagnostičkim postupkom dokazati etiologiju čvora na vratu te po postavljenoj dijagnozi može uslijediti najsvrsishodnije liječenje.
Abstract (english)
Patientsortheirfamilymembersmaynotice a mass (formation) on the neck, oritcanbedetectedduringregularcheck-ups. The mass on the neckcan,, depending on the cause, bepainlessorpainful. The causesofneckmass are numerous andincludeinfectious, malignantandcongenital. Infectiousagentsinclude: HIV, mononucleosis, viralor a bacterialinfectionof the oropharynx (most commonlypharyngitis, anupperrespiratorytractinfection, sometimes dental infection), primarybacteriallymphadenitis, and TB. Malignantchangesthatappear as a nodule on the neck are metastasesofheadtumors, andmetastasesfromdistantsinuses most oftenfrom the upperrespiratory system andgastrointestinal system. Itcanalsobe a primary tumor of the necktissue. As for congenitalcausesthese are:cystof the gillarch, dermoidorsebaceouscystandcystofductusthyroglosus. Itisimportant to prove the etiologyof the neckmasswith a diagnostic procedure, sothatthe most appropriatetreatmentcanfollow the diagnosis.
