Abstract
Yield menadžment iznimno je razvijena praksa koja se primjenjuje u hotelima diljem svijeta i to kako bi se uz pomoć raznih tehnika i strategija odredila optimalna cijena hotelskog smještaja te ostvarila najveća moguća dobit za hotel uzimajući pritom u obzir troškove uloženoga, trendove na tržištu te želje i preferencije gostiju. S obzirom na to da se ovdje radi o jednom financijskom aspektu hotelskog poslovanja, ovaj je menadžment vrlo važan aspekt hotelijerstva budući da se bavi određivanjem cijene osnovnog hotelskog proizvoda, odnosno smještajnih jedinica. Ako se dogodi kriva procjena, odnosno strategije i tehnike krivo usmjere i upotrijebe, to će uvelike utjecati na poslovanje i na ukupan prihod hotela. Stoga je, ako hotel želi biti uspješan i konkurentan na tržištu, nužno razvijatiyield menadžment, prateći pritom trendove na tržištu i vodeći računa o najnovijim tehnologijama i poslovnim potezima koje čini konkurencija.
Abstract (english)
Yield management is an extremely developed practice that is applied in hotels all over the world. The aim is both to determine optimal price of hotel accommodation with the help of various techniques and strategies, as well as to achieve the highest possible profit for the hotel, taking into account the costs of the investment, market trends and wishes and preferences guests. Given that this is a financial aspect of the hotel industry, this management is a very important aspect of the hotel business since it deals with determining the price of the basic hotel product, that is, accommodation units. If there is a wrong assessment, that is, strategies and techniques are misdirected and misused, this will greatly affect the business and the total income of the hotel. Therefore, if the hotel wants to be successful and competitive in the market, it is crucial to developyield management, following the market trends and taking into account the latest technologies and business moves made by the competition.
