COVID-19 u OB Dubrovnik, zaključno s travnjem 2022. godine.
tri potkategorije. U dobi između 65 i 74 godine umrlo je 80 ljudi (24.31%), u dobi između 75 i 84
godine umrlo je 113 osoba (34.34%), a u dobi preko 85 godina umrlo je 98 osoba (29.78%).
Dvadeset sedam umrlih osoba (8.2%) nije imalo nikakve komorbiditete. 74 umrle osobe
cijepljena. |
Abstract (english) | COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus that appeared in China at
the end of 2019. It is one of the most intimidating global events in the world, characterized as a
pandemic, by the World Health Organization.
The aim of the research is to show the number of deaths caused by COVID-19 in Dubrovnik
General Hospital over a period of two years, from the beginning of April 2020, when the first
death caused by COVID-19 was registered in Dubrovnik General Hospital, to the end of April
2022.
In the observed period, 329 persons died, 209 (63.5%) of them were men and 120 (36.5%) were
women. Deceased were divided into three age ranges. In the range from 18 to 39, 2 persons died
(0.6%), in the range from 40 to 64, 36 persons died (10.94%), while in the age range over 65, 291
persons died (88.44 %).
Deaths of persons who were older than 65 years old, were divided into three subcategories. In the
range between 65 and 74, 80 persons died (24.31%). In the range between 75 and 84, 113 persons
died (34.34%), and in the range over the age of 85, 98 persons died (29.78%). 27 persons (8.2%)
who died didn't have any comorbidities. 74 persons (22.49%) who died from COVID-19 had one
comorbidity, while 228 of them (69.3%) died with multiple comorbidities. 135 (41.03%) persons
who died already had some kind of heart disease, 52 (15.80%) of the deceased had lung diseases,
14 (4.25%) of the deceased had liver disease, 25 (7.59%) of them had kidney diseases and 67
(20.36%) of the deceased had central nervous system diseases. 209 (63.52%) persons had high
blood pressure. 105 (31.91%) of the persons who died from COVID-19 had diabetes. In 5 of
them (1.51%) was found the post-transplant condition. Comorbidity in 17 (5.16%) of the persons
who died was significant obesity. 26 (7.90%) of the deceased persons were cancer patients. 19
(5.77%) persons died with some other comorbidities. In the observed two-year period, 59
(17.93%) persons were vaccinated, 266 (80.85%) persons were not, while the vaccination status
of 4 (1.21%) persons is unknown. From this study, it can be concluded that most of the deceased
were elderly men, with more than one comorbidity. Also, the majority of the deceased were not
vaccinated. |
