Abstract | Cilj ovog rada je prikazati incidenciju okluzije središnje mrežnične vene i ogranka u
godišnji broj okluzije središnje mrežnične vene 5, okluzije gornjeg ogranka 3,6 i donjeg ogranka
1. Incidencija središnje mrežnične vene je 4,07 novooboljelih godišnje, a ogranka gornjeg i
donjeg 3,74 novooboljelih godišnje u Dubrovačko-neretvanskoj županiji.
Incidencija okluzije središnje mrežnične vene u ovom istraživanju iznosi 4,07 novooboljelih
godišnje, a ogranaka gornjeg i donjeg 3,74 novooboljelih godišnje u Dubrovačko-neretvanskoj
Abstract (english) | The aim of this Thesis is to show the incidence of central retinal vein occlusion and branch in
Dubrovnik-Neretva County.
The study is retrospective and the data have been obtained from the documentation of the Retinal
Ambulance and the Ambulance for the Fluorescein Angiography of the Department of
Ophthalmology of the General Hospital Dubrovnik. The examinees are retinal ambulatory
patients of the Department of Ophthalmology of the General Hospital Dubrovnik who were
diagnosed with the central retinal vein occlusion and its branches for the period 1 January 2010 to
31 December 2014.
In the period 1 January 2010 to 21 December 2014 at the Retinal Ambulance of the General
Hospital Dubrovnik 47 patients were diagnosed with central retinal vein occlusion and its
branches, among whom one patient had bilateral retinal vein occlusion. So, this makes the total
number of 48 occlusions. The average annual number of occlusions was 9.6. Taking into account
the total population of Dubrovnik-Neretva County, which is 122 879, the calculated incidence in
this study is 7.8 of new cases annually per 100 000 inhabitants. There were 25 (53.08%) patients
with central retinal vein occlusion, 18 (37.5%) patients with upper branch occlusion and 5
(10.42%) patients with lower branch occlusion. Consequently, the average annual number of the
central retinal vein occlusion is 5, upper branch occlusion is 3.6 and lower branch occlusion is 1.
The incidence of the central retinal vein occlusion is 4.07 of new cases annually and upper and
lower branches 3.74 of new cases annually.
The incidence of the central retinal vein occlusion in this research is 4.07 of new cases annually
and of the upper and lower branches occlusion is 3.74 of new cases annually in Dubrovnik-
Neretva County, resulting in total number of incidence of 7.8 of new cases per 100 000
inhabitants. |
