The issues the thesis focuses on are directed towards the primary forms of modern management and competitive abilities of the XXI. century. Firstly, it is imortant to explain the difference between traditional and modern management. The thesis will explain the primary forms of modern management and the main challenges it poses. One of these is modern manager, woman as one of the challenges of management in modern and contemporary views of management. The models and approaches in management are defined with particular focus directed towards models as these must demonstrate not the end of management but in facts its design for the future. The idea of competitiveness is explained which can bw defined in a number of ways, primarily as a positive influence offered solely through competition. Over time the idea of competitiveness of exploitation, the destruction of one side and the necessary presence of relrntless participants. On the other hand, competitiveness can be positive if its advantages are manifested in elements that do not lead to necessary destruction or exhaustion. Sources of competitive advantage such as knowledge, confidence, innovation, tecnology, and leadership that facilitates improvement, excellence and success, instead of necessarily prioritising material wealth and short – term success.
