This paper presents the steps of the business venture process planning according to author, given that there is no common definition of steps in the planning process. As a process of planning to start a business venture, the paper is divided into five main chapters. After the theoretical definitions of planning and the business enterprise as the sum of business ideas, business opportunities and the necessary resources, the next step in the planning process emphasizes the necessary resources, then the business plan as the final document in the planning process, and short of possible strategies for entering in a business venture, their advantages and disadvantages. Business venture planning is often mistaken for a similar term „entrepreneurship”. However, entrepreneurship differs from the subject of this work - entrepreneur, team and employees, although being key resources, are not addressed in this work. Emphasis is given the on planning a business venture as a process and its possible activities rather than its qualifications, characteristics and management.
