Abstract
U cijelom svijetu se, pod utjecajem znanstveno-tehnološke revolucije, dogaĎaju snaţne tehničke, tehnološke i organizacijske promjene. Navedene promjene podrazumijevaju specijalizaciju, automatizaciju te uvoĎenje informacijskih tehnologija. Navedeno utječe na cjelokupni način poslovanja kome se svi moraju prilagoditi. Morsko brodarstvo i luke takoĎer moraju ići u korak sa suvremenim promjenama i prilagoditi svoje poslovanje promjenama. Organizacija prijevoza putnika i robe se stalno treba unapreĎivati, navedeno zahtijeva nove brodove i nove oblike prijevoza sukladno najnovijim dostignućima na pomorskom trţištu. Sve navedeno se odraţava i na luke koje se moraju prilagoĎavati navedenim promjenama, a upravo je navedeno tema ovog rada.
Abstract (english)
Throughout the world, under the influence of the scientific-technological revolution, strong technical, technological and organizational changes are taking place. These changes imply specialization, automation and introduction of information technologies. These changes must be adapted to the way of doing business. Maritime transport and ports also have to keep up to date with modern changes and adapt their business to change. The organization of passenger and goods transport have to adapt to new changes, requiring new ships and new forms of transportation, according to the latest maritime market achievements. All of this reflect to the ports that must adapt to these changes, and this is the topic of this paper.
