Abstract
Zdravstveni turizam je posebni oblik turizma s najbržom stopom rasta. U ovom radu se istražuje razvoj zdravstvenog turizma u zaštićenom području, Nacionalnom parku Mljet. Nacionalni park Mljet postaje sve atraktivnija turistička destinacija zbog svoje prirodne ljepote i netaknute prirode te je idealno mjesto za razvoj zdravstvenog turizma jer se nalazi na jednom od najsunčanijih otoka na Jadranu s povoljnom sredozemnom klimom. Velik broj dolazaka turista u destinaciju odvija se za vrijeme ljetnih mjeseci, a većinom kao i u posezoni dolaze turisti starije životne dobi. Stoga se ovom radu istražuje može li se zdravstveni turizam razviti na ovakvom području gdje postoji visok stupanj sezonalnosti sa sve većim brojem turističkih dolazaka. Analizirajući resurse kojima Nacionalni park Mljet raspolaže, elemente ponude i terapije zdravstvenog turizma koje imaju bitnu ulogu u razvoju takvog posebnog oblika turizma te uzevši u obzir rezultate istraživanja može se zaključiti da Nacionalni park Mljet ima potencijala za razvoj zdravstvenog turizma kojim bi se smanjila visoka razina sezonalnosti.
Abstract (english)
Health tourism is the fastest growing form of tourism at the present time. This dissertation tries to explore possibility of developing helth tourism in protected areaof National Park of island of Mljet. National park of island of Mljet is rapidly becoming the most attractive destination for many tourist due to it’s natural resources and unspoiled nature and is an ideal place for developing health tourism owning to its location also, as it is one of the sunniest islands on Adriatic witha favorable Mediterranean climate. The largest number of tourist come during the summer months, but there is an increasing number of older generation coming of high season. Thats`s why this dissertation tries to explore possibilities of developing health tourism in this area where there is a high degree of seasonality with an increasing number of tourist arrivals. By analysing resources of National park of island of Mljet, it`s offer and considering different types of health tourism conclusion is that the National park of Mljet has great potential for developing health tourisam which would reduce the high level of seasonality.
