The topic of this paper is the history of fast food. Food is essential for life and survival,and the development of fast food has made its preparation and consumption easier and quicker. Fast food has existed longer than most people assume. Specifically, the origins of fast food date back to ancient Rome, China, and Mesopotamia. The fast food we know today has its beginnings in the United States. In the period of industrialization, there was a greater popularization and development of fast food and its distribution. The inventions and development of different types of machines certainly contributed to the development and improvement of fast food. This paper includes research that is related to examples of good practice in the field of fast food. Development and popularization of some of the largest and most popular food chains, such as McDonald's, Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) and Burger King, is presented in this paper.
