Abstract
Oblak točaka jedan je od najkorištenijih oblika prikazivanja različitih 3D objekata te njihovih atributa, a predstavlja skupove točaka u (x, y, z) koordinatama trodimenzionalnog virtualnog prostora dobivenih kao rezultat različitih vrsta skeniranja. Kroz rad će se objasniti procesi dobivanja oblaka točaka te će se opisati baze slika koje se koriste za analize ovakvog načina prikazivanja objekata. Kako bi se takvi realistični načini prikazivanja mogli koristiti u različitim primjenama... More pohranjivanja i prijenosa, jedan od prioriteta je i način kompresije oblaka točaka s težnjom na lossy kompresiju. U ovome radu su opisani i analizirani postojeći načini kompresije oblaka točaka uključujući MPEG G-PCC i V-PCC te kompresije temeljene na algoritmima dubokog učenja uključujući i najnovija dostignuća. Za usporedbu rezultata pojedinih vrsta kompresije koriste se subjektivne i objektivne mjere za ocjenu kvalitete oblaka točaka. Less
Abstract (english)
The point cloud is one of the most used forms of displaying various 3D objects and their attributes, and represents sets of points in (x, y, z) coordinates of the three-dimensional virtual space obtained as a result of different types of scanning. The paper will explain the processes of obtaining point clouds, and it will be described the database of images that are used for the analysis of this way of displaying objects. More in various storage and transmission applications, one of the priorities has become a point cloud compression method with a tendency towards lossy compression. In this paper, existing methods of point cloud compression are described and analyzed, including MPEG G-PCC and V-PCC, and compression based on deep learning algorithms, including the latest developments.
