Abstract Tema ovog rada je djelovanje dubrovačkog pravaškog lista Prava Crvena Hrvatska
periodike, sadržaj Prave Crvene Hrvatske nije detaljnije tematiziran. Ovaj rad predstavlja
pokušaj cjelovite analize Prave Crvene Hrvatske u kontekstu širih političkih gibanja u
Dalmaciji i Hrvatskoj na početku 20. stoljeća.
U trenutku kada u Dalmaciji dolazi do stapanja Stranke prava s Narodnom strankom u
novoformiranu Hrvatsku stranku (1905.), manja skupina Dubrovčana, pobornika pravaštva
odlučila je ostati neovisna. Uz pomoć svoje novine, Prave Crvene Hrvatske, zastupaju politiku
Dalmaciji i Banskoj Hrvatskoj, u čemu u jednom trenutku i uspijevaju. Upravo na njihovu
inicijativu u Dubrovniku dolazi 1906. godine do sinergije dalmatinskih pravaša okupljenih u
njegovim frankovcima u Banskoj Hrvatskoj.
u Dubrovniku potkraj 19. i početkom 20 stoljeća, Crvene Hrvatske (1891.-1914.) i Dubrovnika
Hrvatskoj.
Abstract (english) The subject of this paper is the activity of the Party of Rights’ Dubrovnik followers and
their engagement in newspaper Prava Crvena Hrvatska (1905-1918). The focus is on the circle
of people who created the policy of Party of Rights in Dubrovnik, and thus their newspaper.
In the historiography of Dubrovnik at the turn of the 20th century, as well as in the
synthesis of Croatian periodicals, the contents of the newspaper Prava Crvena Hrvatska has
never been thematized into details.
This work represents an attempt to complete the analysis of the Prava Crvena Hrvatska in
the context of the wider political movements in Dalmatia and Croatia at the beginning of the
20th century.
During the merging of the Party of Rights and People's Party in Dalmatia into a new party -
Croatian Party (1905), a smaller group of Dubrovnik's advocates and followers of the Party of
Rights decided to remain independent.
With the help and use of their newspaper, Prava Crvena Hrvatska, at the time they
represent the policy of unification of Dalmatia, Croatia and Slavonia under the Habsburg
Monarchy, but they also oppose a new direction in Dalmatian politics and co-operation with the
Serbs advocated by the the newly founded Croatian Party.
In the Croatian political spectrum of that time, Party of Rights in Dubrovnik had political
rivals in united Croatian Party as well as the Dubrovnik’s Serb-Catholic and the Autonomists,
being fierce opponents.
Dubrovnik's Party of Rights delegates were constantly calling for the gathering of the
divided groups of the Party of Rights followers in Dalmatia and Banska Croatia, suceeding at
one point. Apon their initiative in 1906 the Dalmatian Party of Rights followers merged into one
new party which was given the name the Party of Rights.
The disagreements have continually disturbed the homogeneity of the political scene, either
in the Party of Rights in Dalmatia or in the Party of Rights in Banska Croatia, which also
occasionally reflected on the editorial policy of the Prava Crvena Hrvatska. A group of Party of
Rights followers in Dubrovnik supported the Party of Rights leader Ivo Prodan, or joined Josip
Frank and his francs in Banska Croatia, depending on political circumstances.
With the insight into the contents of Prava Crvena Hrvatska, as well as the other two
political newspapers published in Dubrovnik at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the
20th century - Crvena Hrvatska (1891-1914) and Dubrovnik (1892-1914) - the political scene in
the city was elucidated, especially considering the Party of Rights. At the same time, the circle
of the Party of Rights supporters, which was resumed after 1905 in Dubrovnik, was
reconstructed.
By analyzing all of the 908 editions of this Party of Rights newspaper, 'journalists',
associates, writers and people who created editorial policy and provided financial support to the
Prava Crvena Hrvatska are biographically defined.
